These dresses were originally created to help spread information on habitat loss for endangered species and birds, something i’m very passionate about and wanted to share through fashion:･ﾟ✧:･ﾟ✧
GOLDEN CHEEKED WARBLER

This species is characterized by its bright yellow face, showing a beautiful contrast to its almost silvery body. I wanted to portray this through heavy gold and silver inspirations showing on the bust and skirt which would show its intense difference.
HYACINTH MACAW

The beautiful gold and blue coloration's on this bird has inspired me for years and I loved the idea of a gold and blue combination in a formal dress design. I’ve actually interacted with these birds in person while volunteering at a bird store, and they’ve got huge personalities that meet up to their strong colors.
PIPING PLOVER

These adorable seaside birds are one of the cutest animals you’ll see, which is why I wanted to make a sweet and frilly dress to match.
WALLCREEPER

When I first saw this bird I was obsessed with the unique colors and designs gracing its wings. This inspired me to be quite free with the top of the dress, making the neckline quite wavy like the wings shape.
PEACOCK

Every time I would visit the zoo as a child the peacocks would always be running around and chasing the customers. I wanted to do something bold because of this, to show how exotically charming these birds are.
TREE SWALLOWS

The feathers alone on these birds resemblance a silk satin fabric across their back. They have some white and silver scattered across their bodies, which I wanted to show in the armor shown at the top of the dress.
